David started his racing at a young age of 14 in the enduro class at Delaware speedway. He achieved a top 3 finish twice before going to open wheel modifieds at just 16 years old. Davids first year of open wheel racing found him at the end of the season with Rookie of the year, perfect attendance and a top ten finish in points. In his second year David caputured 2 heat wins most improved driver, safety award, top 5 finish in points and perfect attendance awards.  This past year David was voted on by his peers most sportsman like driver. He also recieved a top seven finish inpoints, perfect attendance  awards and also the winner of the Larry Knott fiberglass body.
